Recruitment

Each academic year, the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program will attempt to admit 34 students, allowing for a 10% increase in a given year to account for admissions attrition.

A dedicated Admissions Counselor will lead and coordinate the recruitment and admissions process for the DPT program in collaboration with the DPT program administration and faculty, Director of Admissions, and Director of Marketing. The program website will be the primary means of sharing program information to recruit prospective students. Bellin College will strive to recruit a diverse applicant pool through various outreach and marketing programs, including e-mail, social media, virtual webinars, tours/open houses, college fairs, and engagement with advisors at other colleges. Campus tours and individual appointments with the Admissions Counselors and Program Faculty will be available upon request. Promotional materials will include printable materials and digital content housed on the program website.

Program features that promote the recruitment of a diverse student population include consultation with groups speaking for underrepresented populations, targeted marketing efforts to regions of lower socioeconomic status and those classified as rural. Each fall, an assessment of the prior year applicants and admissions will be conducted with attention to diversity among our applicants and matriculated students.
