Program, Program Option or Degree Change and Declaration of Minor

Students who wish to change a program (major), program option or degree/credential may do so if approved by the appropriate program director and if specific conditions are satisfied. Students can begin the process by contacting an academic advisor or program director. These types of changes may extend the student’s enrollment at the College to reach degree program completion.

An updated degree audit or plan of study must be completed. All students must complete all degree requirements for the program option. Additional courses may be required. A student’s full-time/part-time status may change, which may impact financial aid. The anticipated graduation date may change. A program change is contingent upon available space in the desired program. A Program Change Form must be submitted to complete the process.

Undergraduate students may also declare a minor program, if appropriate, to their program. A minor is related to specific degree programs and must be approved by a program director. All
components of the minor must be completed concurrently within the undergraduate program. Minors are not an option outside of a degree program. Students must declare a minor by the fall semester of junior year. Please consult with the Academic Advisor to declare a minor. A Program Change Form must be submitted to complete the process.
