This course introduces students to the foundation for professional practice. Strategies for success in the profession are reviewed. Students define their philosophical beliefs about nursing while exploring the nurse’s role within the context of the healthcare delivery system. Legal and ethical aspects of healthcare are presented. This knowledge enables students to begin the process of socialization into nursing.
