This course introduces students to the foundation for professional practice through the exploration of nursing values, ethical principles, and roles in nursing with the healthcare system. The beginning concepts of professional communication, legal and ethical aspects of health care, nursing process, clinical judgment, and safety are explored. In addition, the interrelationship between nutrition, food, and the environment related to overall health is explored.
