This DNP practicum course provides students with the opportunity to synthesize and apply advanced nursing knowledge, clinical reasoning, and leadership skills within a population-focused context. Under the guidance of clinical faculty and experienced preceptors, students engage in immersive clinical experiences that foster the integration of doctoral-level competencies, enhance practice expertise, and promote evidence-based, person-centered care. Emphasis is placed on the translation of scholarly evidence into practice, interprofessional collaboration, advocacy, and the demonstration of systems thinking. Students will identify and address individualized areas for professional growth, preparing for entry into the highest level of advanced nursing practice. By the end of the course, students meet course outcomes at the proficient level or higher.
