Causes for Non-Academic Dismissal from Bellin College

Bellin College fosters a culture built on the four values of excellence, integrity, community and caring. Undergraduate and graduate students are expected to be consistent with the standards of professional conduct and student foundational behaviors.

Situations that may lead to dismissal from Bellin College include, but are not limited to, the examples listed below. This list is not exhaustive, and additional circumstances may be outlined in other student-related policies:

  • Failure to pay tuition/fees by the prescribed deadline unless arrangements are made with the Bursar.
  • Serious safety threats (assault, weapon possession, threats).
  • Illegal drug distribution or possession.
  • Harassment, bullying, hazing, or discrimination.
  • Fraud, theft, identity misuse.
  • Unauthorized use or destruction of college property.
  • Criminal behavior on or affecting the college or clinical partners.
  • Actions that jeopardize a student’s health, performance, and/or behavior that jeopardizes the safety of patients, other students, or College faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests.
  • Repeated or severe violations of student policies.
  • Failure to fulfill or resolve disciplinary probation requirements via breach of contract.
