This course introduces students to advanced concepts and skills related to professional nursing practice. Nursing process and clinical judgment are utilized to design care for patients with common health alterations. Emphasis is placed on therapeutic communication and competencies related to quality and safety in the provision of patient care.  These concepts and skills are presented and applied in the lab setting.

NUR 111 Nursing Foundations I, NUR 212 Nursing Foundations II, Anatomy & Physiology I & II (BI 156 & 256), CH 122 General Chemistry, HC 105 Medical Terminology, NUR 215 Health Assessment in Nursing, NUR 222 Pathophysiology, Pharmacology I and II (NUR 231 & 232)
