The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) allows candidates to sit for the National Physical Therapy Examination up to 90 days before their graduation date provided the institution validates the candidate is on track to graduate at the accustomed time. At Bellin College students are eligible if they meet the following criteria:
• Students must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.6 at the end of fall semester 7.
• Students must pass all previous clinical education courses on the first attempt and meet all requirements for their current final semester clinical education experience.
• Students must have completed their co-curricular portfolio by February 15.
• Students must have completed their scholarly project except for the dissemination requirement by February 15.
• Students must have achieved a minimum 70% score on a pre-approved NPTE® preparation exam (i.e., ScoreBuilders®, PEAT®).
Exceptions may be made by the Program Director. Students completing their final semester who wish to take the NPTE® before graduation must notify the Program Director via email by February 15.
