Malpractice insurance is not required as a student. The College recommends that students evaluate the malpractice issue and obtain coverage prior to their first clinical course if they choose. The College liability insurance only covers students during College-sponsored activities. Malpractice insurance coverage is available through National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) (BSN students) or local and national insurance agencies.
