BSN 15-Month Option Admission Requirements

Completed applications are reviewed, and applicants are notified of the admission decisions on a rolling basis.

The program has two start dates, one in January with graduation in May of the following year and one at the end of May with graduation the following October. A credit evaluation will determine eligibility for this option. The program is designed in eight-week sessions to be completed in seven consecutive terms. Student graduate after 15 academic months of coursework.

Students in the 15-month option complete their general education and general elective credits before entering Bellin College. A nursing assistant course is highly recommended prior to enrollment in the 15-month option. Students who have not completed a nursing assistant course may be required to complete a Bellin College boot camp prior to enrollment. A medical terminology course is not required.

For applicants with a prior bachelor’s degree or higher:

  • Applicants must meet the admission requirements for science courses (listed below) and developmental (lifespan) psychology:
    • Anatomy and Physiology I (Lab component preferred, but not required)
    • Anatomy and Physiology II (Lab component preferred, but not required)
    • Chemistry (Lab component preferred, but not required)
    • Microbiology (Lab component preferred, but not required)
  • All other general education requirements will be considered fulfilled upon verification of a prior bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Applicants must have earned a grade of C or higher in the courses listed above.
  • Courses repeated more than once will be reviewed individually.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 in transfer courses is required.
  • Credits from non-semester schools will be converted as necessary.

For applicants without a prior bachelor’s degree:

  • Applicants must complete 56 credits of required general education and general elective courses. Any courses that meet general education or elective requirements will be considered.
  • Required courses include:
    • Anatomy and Physiology I (Lab component preferred, but not required)
    • Anatomy and Physiology II (Lab component preferred, but not required)
    • Chemistry (Lab component preferred, but not required)
    • Microbiology (Lab component preferred, but not required)
    • Business
    • Communication or Speech
    • Developmental Psychology
    • Human Diversity
    • College Algebra
    • Psychology
    • Philosophy/Ethics
    • Statistics
    • Writing
    • Humanities
    • Social Science
    • Upper-level elective
