Attendance Policy

Attendance and punctuality are essential professional behaviors and are required for all curricular activities, including clinical experiences, laboratory courses, orientations, simulations, computer trainings, lab testing, and scheduled assessments. Attendance at these activities is mandatory and missed sessions cannot be made up, except for approved extenuating circumstances. Students are expected to attend all sessions as outlined in course syllabi and/or course schedule.

If an absence is anticipated or occurs, students are expected to notify course faculty as soon as possible and, whenever feasible, prior to the start of the scheduled class or activity. Absences will not automatically be excused, regardless of documentation provided (including healthcare provider notes). Each absence will be reviewed individually by faculty in consultation with the Program Director. Students remain responsible for all missed content and are expected to comply with the Late Graded Assignment and Late Exam Policy for any assessments or coursework affected by an absence. Attendance records are maintained for academic progression, professional references, and compliance with financial aid requirements.

Failure to attend mandatory activities may result in placement on a Student Performance Notification (SPN) and could impact progression in the program. Repeated absences or failure to meet course outcomes may result in a student being unsuccessful in a course or program dismissal.
