Students may be allowed to be paid for clinical hours by their employer if appropriately qualified for that discipline. Paid employment hours may only be applied toward clinical credit hours if:
- The experience is pre-approved by the program,
- The learning activities align with established clinical competencies,
- Appropriate supervision is provided consistent with program requirements, and,
- Student performance is formally evaluated and documented by program faculty.
Students may work outside of their assigned clinical hours in the respective profession, but these hours will not be counted towards their assigned clinical hours or clinical course outcomes. BSRS and BSRT students cannot be paid for clinical hours that are assigned as part of their respective clinical course outcomes.
